My wife and I were looking at property in Telluride for three years before we purchased. Adam consistently and without complaint kept contacting us with new listings and kept us informed of market conditions in connection with the recession. This information over time helped us to jump on an opportunity when it came up last winter when we were finally ready to purchase. Adam had all units with our qualifications lined up and ready to view when we arrived in Telluride. He made sure that we saw every possible property, even after we made our decision. Adam even helped with closing by helping to track down information from the homeowners association and flood zone information.
We owned a previous unit in Mountain Village several years ago and had a poor experience from one of the larger brokers in the area. Bought a home in 2015.
After visiting Telluride, and working with a local real estate agent for 1.5 days, my husband and I were frustrated. Even though we stated our desires, the agent just was not “getting us.” He just kept saying, so what is it you want? We returned to our home in Washington, and would periodically perform web searches looking for properties, and this is how we found Adam. His strong online presence and reviewer recommendations persuaded us to reach out. Initially, we were leery of picking a property without being present and more cautious of working with an agent on line, but Adam quickly alleviated those fears. It was clear he immediately understood what we wanted, so we trusted him to be our eyes and ears. For properties where we showed interest, he created thorough walk-through videos we watched via utube. Adam always looked out for our best interests–steering us away from properties that had lesser investment value and even tracking the property we wanted when it went through receivership. His knowledge of the local market, ability to follow-up with details, and timeliness and persistence on our behalf made our dream come true.

Adam Black is an unequivocal wonder: an immensely bright, tenacious and hard working real estate agent. All of that comes in this unassuming package of a guy that makes you feel at ease like your out having fun with your best friend from next door. Like many others before us, we set out with a budget and dream to have a place in the town of Telluride and our dream was bigger than our budget. But he managed, somehow, to find us the perfect home, in the perfect location, with a breathtaking view despite our insisting on looking at all of the wrong places first. Each time we would insist on seeing something we thought fit the bill, we were disappointed. He showed us every damn place on our misguided list. He was incredibly patient and persistent. Adam knew better than we did what we needed, though, and he kept on working with us until we found the ideal buy that has proven to be a better and better find with every passing month.

Adam is an utter phenomenon. It is inconceivable to me that you could have a more valuable, self-possessed, strikingly informed, capable agent in this area. He is the great divining rod of Telluride.
